CPKC Holiday Train

The tour will feature tons of free live shows, and this year’s lineup includes a variety of stand-out artists, including American Authors, Magic!, Sofia Camara, and Tyler Shaw.

Get Into the Christmas Spirit!  The CPKC Holiday Train is about 1,000 feet in length with 14 rail cars decorated with hundreds of thousands of technology-leading LED lights and a modified boxcar that has been turned into a traveling stage for performers.

Enjoy music and hot chocolate as you see the train pass through Medicine Hat! Train arrives at 3:15pm with the show going 3:30pm-4:00pm at Queen & North Railway St., east of CP Station.

Be a part of this amazing movement to help families in need. Bring cash or healthy food donations. The 25th annual Holiday Train tour raised a record $1.8 million, collected more than 160,000 pounds of food for community food banks in the U.S. and Canada.

The 2023 CPKC Holiday Train toured Canada and the United States Nov. 20 through Dec. 19, raising money, food and awareness for the important work that food banks do in their communities. Professional musicians played free concerts from the brightly decorated train’s stage. CPKC made a donation to the local food shelf at each stop and encouraged attendees to also donate.

Completing its 25th year, the CPKC Holiday Train raised more than $24.3 million and collected approximately 5.3 million pounds of food for community food banks in Canada and the United States since its inaugural journey back in 1999.
